Police have arrested a member of the Lone Wolf motorcycle gang after he allegedly assaulted a man with a circular-saw at North Lismore last year.

Police say the 31-year-old man allegedly went to a premises at North Lismore on the morning of Sunday November 17 armed with a circular saw.

They allege he assaulted a 30-year-old man he knew with the saw, before fleeing.

Police say the attack followed a dispute over money.

The assaulted man was taken to Lismore Base Hospital where he underwent surgery for injuries to his face and arm.

Yesterday (March 12), police from Richmond Local Area Command arrested a 31-year-old man on Alice Street, Goonellabah.

He was taken to Lismore Police Station, where he was charged with cause grievous bodily harm to person with intent.

The man was refused bail to appear at Lismore Local Court today.
