The Echonetdaily Art Room Crew had an unusual response to the news that today was a public holiday and they wouldn’t be required to work.

One member of this crack production team was heard to ask, ‘What is home?’

News spread like wildfire through the offices based in downtown Mullumbimby and word that the local bottleshops may also be closed led to a mass exodus.

‘We try to keep our drudges out of the light of day,’ said production manager Ziggi Browning. ‘This is a benefit to humanity on several levels. It keeps the community safe from rampant fonting and kerning and it encourages drudge staff to never look beyond their Mac screens. It’s a win-win situation really.’

Staff were reminded that they would be required, as usual, to appear bright and early on Saturday as it would be business as usual.

The only two journo’s/press holidays in the year…..Thursday before Good Friday & Xmas Eve…..otherwise it’s nose to the grindstone every other day of the year……remembering my years as a press artist at C/Mail/S/Mail!
    Enjoy your day off! 🙂
