A man is in a critical condition and a woman has been charged after she allegedly stabbed him in the groin during a domestic dispute in Casino.
About 5:50am (Monday, September 26), a 23-year-old man suffered a number of stab wounds following an argument at a home in North Street.
Police and ambulance paramedics rushed to the scene and the man was taken to Lismore Base Hospital in a critical condition.
Officers from Richmond Local Area Command arrested a 29-year-old woman at the home.
She was taken to Casino police station where she was charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Police will allege the incident was domestic related.
The woman was refused bail and is due to appear at Lismore Local Court today (Monday 26 September 2016).
