A 22-year-old Casino man has allegedly used a hockey stick to fracture and bruise his parner’s arm before biting her on the hand.

Police allege the attack was unprovoked and started while the victim was sleeping.

The victim was treated at Casino hospital and police were advised.

Police also allege the 22-year-old man assaulted another woman on 18 April at Tabulam by kicking her in the back.

Casino and Tabulam police searched for the man for several days before finding him at a house at Baryugil yesterday morning.

He was arrested without incident and taken to Casino Police Station.

A 26 year old Baryulgil man who was also at the residence had an outstanding warrant.
The 22 year old was charged with Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm, Intimidation and Assault.

Police have bail refused the man and he will appear in Lismore Local Court today. The 26 year old with the warrant was also bail refused.
