A van fire at lunchtime in the Byron Bay Industrial Estate saw much smoke, little flame and no doubt sparked some interest from passers-by.
But police say there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the fire and they were not required to attend.
Following a 000 call around midday a NSW Fire & Rescue crew arrived on the scene at Grevillia St around 12.10pm to find a Toyota HiAce van alight.
A NSW Fire & Rescue spokeperson said the work of extinguishing the fire was over by 12.45pm.
