A truck on fire has halted busy Monday peak-hour traffic in the northbound lane of the M1 south of Stotts Creek on the approach to Cudgen Road Tunnel.
There is currently no information as to what started the blaze at around 7.17am today.
Live Traffic reports that one of two northbound lanes are closed, though a driver in the queue says that they have not moved for over half an hour.
Attending the scene are emergency services and Transport for NSW.
The advice is for vehicles to repare to merge, exercise caution and allow extra travel time this moring.
