Police say they recovered a man’s body from the surf in Iluka early Saturday morning.
Emergency services received a report of a 68-year-old man failing to return to shore after entering the surf at Bluff Beach in Iluka shortly before 6.00 pm Friday.
A large-scale police and Surf Lifesaving search that evening failed to find the missing man but officers report finding his body around 7.30 am Saturday.
Police are to prepare a report for the coroner.
