This successful and vibrant club plays in the Group Junior Rugby League comp which extends from Tugun in the north to Mullumbimby in the south. Mullumbimby returned to Group last year and it was considered by parents and spectators alike as a very successful year in terms of travel and playing performance, said spokesperson for the Junior Giants, Ron Stagg. Mullumbimby featured in both the under s and under s grand finals. The competition is well run and the draw allows the Junior Giants to play together as a club at one venue for each weeks games. The under s to under s are played on a Saturday morning while the under s to s are played on Saturday afternoon from 3. pm into the evening. This has proved a very popular innovation with players, providing a great atmosphere and much welcomed cooler conditions.Last season Mullumbimby had many representative players selected for the Group and officials are expecting these players to push for selection again this season. The season starts on April , but a series of pre season games are planned. Anyone interested in playing is welcome to come along to the sign on, particularly new players, and teams will be fielded in all age groups from under s to under s. Registration fees will be , which includes insurance. New players will need to bring along three current photos on registration day. The club will have its monthly meeting at the Mullumbimby Ex-servicemens Club on Thursday February 5 from 7. pm and all parents and supporters are encouraged to attend. The Junior Giants say they are planning a big season for and will rely greatly on volunteers. So dont be shy and come along on Thursday to lend your support.
