was sick and no mainstream doctors could diagnose what was wrong with her, she turned to a naturopath for treatment. That positive experience led to her regaining her health and shaped the course of her future. Carly applied to study for a Bachelor of Naturopathy degree at Southern Cross University and focused all of her energy on gaining the best mark she could for her Higher School Certicate at Xavier Catholic College, Skennars Head. Now her UAI mark of .9 has been rewarded with a , Vice-Chancellors scholarship, presented recently at a ceremony at Invercauld House, Goonellabah. Carly joins four other recipients of a Vice-Chancellors scholarship, recipients of industry, government and benefactor scholarships and recipients of ongoing scholarships across the Universitys three campuses. I am absolutely thrilledFoxes a problemLennox Head student Carly Bindon with her proud parents, Tony and Ruth Bindon, and Vice-Chancellor Professor Paul Clark far right, at the scholarship ceremony.because this will make studying at university so much easier, Carly said. I am glad that I can study the course I am really passionate about and still stay in the local area. When I was sick about a year-and-a-half ago, I was feeling very tired and weak all of the time. I went to a number of doctors who each examined me and said I wasne. They couldnt nd anything wrong. But I still felt really sick all of the time. Then I went to a naturopath and he was able to determine I had a wheat allergy. With dietary changes and a herbal tonic, my health improved rapidly. That is what has inspired me to study naturopathy coupled with the fact I have always been interested inhelping others. The ve recipients of ViceChancellors scholarships were Carly Bindon, Bachelor of Naturopathy, Jessica Harvey, Associate Degree in Law Paralegal Studies, Maia Osborn, Bachelor of Education, Luke Turner, Bachelor of Education and Adam Brownell, Bachelor of Business in Hotel and Resort Management. have their AGM on Monday April 2 at 7pm. Seven fox burrows have been located on the Byrangery Grass Reserve, Goonengerry. The RLPB has not returned phone calls and emails to the Trustees requesting a fox control service, according to locals. Given they only have one noxious animal ofcer covering an area from Tweed to Kyogle to Ballina this lack of response is not surprising, said Trustee Val Hodgson. If you have a specific complaint to make about theprovision, failure to provide, withdrawal, variation or administration of the services the RLPB are supposed to provide, or their unreasonable application of the Act, such as reducing rateable lands to four hectares, charging an animal health levy if you dont ll in a stock notice, being charged a meat industry levy when you dont have livestock, or receiving a rate notice with a notional carrying capacity still written on the rate notice when it is no longer supposed to be relevant, write now to the NSW Ombudsman, Level , George St, Sydney , says resident Dr Patrick Morrisey.Clean and GreenClean up at Clarks Beach on Sun March from 9am to noon.
