The Byron Shire Echo is a weekly independent newspaper that is published in the Byron Shire of New South Wales in Australia.

The original Byron Shire Echo was founded in 1986 following marijuana raids by the NSW Police in the valleys surrounding Mullumbimby. Many people believed that the police were acting aggressively and illegally, and local TV and print media refused to touch the story.Jupiter, the largest planet in our solar system, does things in a big way.
