The Public Information and Inquiry Centre which was activated to support the flood operation across the north coast closed at midday yesterday.

The Public Information and Inquiry Centre took more than 1850 calls from members of the public seeking flood information; however, more recent calls were traffic related.

For the latest on road closures people can visit the www.livetraffic.com for state roads or www.myroadinfo.com.au for local roads.

People still seeking emergency assistance during a flood or storm should call the NSW State Emergency Service on 132 500, or visit their website www.ses.nsw.gov.au.
