The Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter spent yesterday evening searching for an 87-year-old man with dementia who had gone missing from a property at Lindendale east of Lismore. He had last been seen at 2:45pm.
The helicopter searched the farm together with police Lismore SES. After a brief search, the man was spotted by the helicopter crew lying in tall grass near a creek on the property.
The chopper’s doctor and paramedic reached the patient on foot finding him confused but fit and well.
