Frogs On Toast have been performing for 13 years – an incredible journey with gigs stretching from Broken Hill to Hobart, not to mention the USA, Holland and Canada.
Frogs On Toast have won three Australian Entertainment MO Awards for excellence in live entertainment. They also have multi-award nominations including the ACE Awards (Australian Club Entertainment Awards) in Sydney.
In their new show, Frogs On Toast will introduce new characters including the likes of ‘Hugh Jackman’, while still bringing to you their humorous, well-known songs.
The show consists of three very talented musicians with more than a hundred years’ musical experience between them: Jeff Vandenberg on bass, Mick Ellis on drums and Geoff Hale on guitar.
And then there is the front line.
Bonnie Kellett has studied dance, acting, singing and performance. She brings to the show a professional and extremely funny character called ‘M’moiselle’, a blonde and beautiful young woman with a tendency to get confused.
Bill Sarena has been performing for almost his entire life and contributes his strong vocals and a great range of different characters. This is Bill’s second time around with Frogs – he was one of the founding members.
Trish Allen has radio and TV experience and is, as she puts it, ‘an ex-rock chick’. Trish stars as ‘Madame’, a self-centred older woman who believes she is still attractive, particularly to M’Sieur.
See the Frogs at Twin Towns on Thursday.
