The rising sun was greeted by just the sound of waking lorikeets and the Last Post as those assembled faced the west in silence at this morning’s ANZAC Day dawn service at Brunswick Heads.
Over 800 service men and women, community and school groups and those paying their respects gathered at the cenotaph to lay wreaths and remember war and the returned and the lost.
To the tune of pipe and drum the parade the made its way through the town passing each of the churches before returning to the RSL for some light and sturdy refreshments.
