This is in response to the recent BSC decision to withdraw the annual rubbish collection service.
We are entitled to this service. Depriving us of this service seems grossly unfair and would adversely inconvenience the majority of ratepayers, particularly seniors in the community. Such a decision creates extra effort and expense to the ratepayers, needing to hire a trailer or pay for rubbish to taken to the tip.
I imagine we are the only rate-paying constituents in the state that are being punished by having this service withdrawn. Any anticipated savings to the BSC will undoubtedly be redirected to cover court fees in their costly legal battles!
This letter is to invoke a rally of support from local residents to protect the basic rights of rate payers.

I have sent in a letter with similar complains weeks ago! Bulky items collection should cover exactly that: items you can NOT fit into a normal vehicle!
So how is one supposed to get them to tip for free disposal?
This is the most ridiculous decision in a long time; maybe I should deduct the extra expenses from my rates payment?
