A man who was reported missing in the state’s west last week has been found safe and well in Tweed Heads.
The 61-year-old man was reported missing last Thursday after he failed to return from a walk in the Warrumbungle National Park.
Police from Coonabarabran searched the area on trail bikes assisted by the Volunteer Rescue Association, Rural Fire Service, State Emergency Service and NSW National Parks and Wildlife Services but the man was not found.
About 1.30pm on Monday, the man walked into Tweed Heads Police Station with his wife, safe and well.
