A court has heard that a driver who led police on a high-speed car chase with two unrestrained children in the back of his car earlier this year had never held a driver licence.
Benjamin Croft, 21, reached speeds of more than 200km/h in a chase at Harwood last month, police say.
Under legislation known as Skye’s Law – introduced by the Keneally government after a young child was killed in a high-speed car chase – Mr Croft could face up to three years’ jail.
He will reappear in the Lismore District Court on 30 July.
