I almost fell for an online scam that seems to have been doing the rounds overseas. I don’t know if I’m the first to receive it in the Byron region but I guess I became a prime target as my website comes up first when one does a search for massages. So I just thought I’d warn my fellow therapists of this nasty scam in case they’re unaware of it.
I got an email from a certain Tom Hoy, kinesiotherapist, asking for group bookings for his clients visiting our region. It seemed almost real as he was asking for group discounts but what alarmed me was the broken grammar. So I googled the name and found the website www.abmp.com/news, which is the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals, with information from others warning about the same scam.
