A man has been charged and refused bail for making threats of serious harm against employees of a Lismore businesses yesterday.
About 9.30am, a 48-year-old man contacted a Sydney radio station where he allegedly made a number of threats that were broadcast live to air.
At 11.30am, Lismore police arrested a man at a house on Taylors Road, Chilcotts Grass.
He was taken to Lismore Police Station and charged with using a carriage service to make threats of serious harm.
A crime scene was established at the Chilcotts Grass premises. No firearms were located but Echonetdaily understands a hydroponic marijuana-growing setup was discovered.
The man faced Lismore Local Court late yesterday and was remanded to re-appear today.
A second man has also been arrested and is believed to have been charged in relation to the marijuana crop.
