Interview with Claire Atkins from SHIT

I saw SHIT last year and I was blown away. Incredible script. Incredible acting.

I am running for the Tweed Shire Council elections in September.

My vision is:

  • for the Tweed shire to be a place where families want to live and visitors and business wants to come and stay
  • where council listens and acts on the wishes of community
  • where council answers to the needs of our young, elderly and disadvantaged
  • where developments are sustainable and the environment and all people are treated with RESPECT.

If you have similar aspirations to me you are invited to my first fundraiser, The Lady, the story of Aung San Suu Kyi, democracy leader from Burma.

Tickets available at the Regent Cinema 6672 8265, the Modern Grocer Murwillumbah and the Cabarita Surf Shop.

With your support we have a chance to make the change we want.

Please forward this invitation on to your friends, relatives and networks who share our vision

Hope to see you Thursday.

Support The Echo

Keeping the community together and the community voice loud and clear is what The Echo is about. More than ever we need your help to keep this voice alive and thriving in the community.

Like all businesses we are struggling to keep food on the table of all our local and hard working journalists, artists, sales, delivery and drudges who keep the news coming out to you both in the newspaper and online. If you can spare a few dollars a week – or maybe more – we would appreciate all the support you are able to give to keep the voice of independent, local journalism alive.
