The Northern Rivers community to date has demonstrated an overwhelming majority consensus to reject CSG mining in our area.
The CSG-free communities campaign, which launched in The Channon, has come to the Tweed Valley, starting from Tyalgum; next stop is the Mount Burrell area.
Northern Rivers Guardians are holding a Public Meeting at Sphinx Rock Café, 3pm Saturday 9 June, chaired by Dr Len Martin and addressed by Scott Sledge to engage our local community on the issues of CSG mining.
This is a non-political event. Everyone is welcome and afternoon tea is available.
The goal is to survey residents of the valley and secure a majority decision to declare Tweed Valley CSG free in solidarity with many other local communities in our area.
