Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter yesterday airlifted a woman suffering a dislocated shoulder, broken arm and rib injuries after falling from a horse. The woman was riding along Air Force Beach, 2km north of Evans Head at the time of the accident.
The doctor and paramedic were delivered to the beach at about 3.45pm and and treated the woman, while aircraft waited at the Evans Head aerodrome to transfer the medical team and patient to Lismore Base Hospital.
