I agree with Byron Council’s decision to use herbicides to control bitou bush and other weeds. If chemically averse residents were truly concerned about suspected (not proven) side effects they would be happy to manually remove weeds near their properties and other areas within the Shire.
If all Byron residents cleared one square kilometre there would be no need to use herbicides. For Council it’s an economic reality to spray herbicides. Keep up the good work, Byron Council.
