A man whose small boat capsized while trying to get out of the mouth of the Tweed River earlier this morning has been rescued.

Another private vessel came to the man’s aid after his half-cabin cruiser flipped in choppy conditions on the notorious Tweed River bar.

A Volunteer Marine Rescue craft also helped and took the man back to shore. He was uninjured.
