Rapey Liberal culture is their undoing

Former Liberal staffer Brittany Higgins’ steel-eyed testimony around rape allegations saw spiders crawl from under rocks and spread in all directions last week.

With regard to your piece on hard rubbish collection, I would like to state that we saw the gentleman carrying the rubbish there (to both roundabouts, just north and south of the Bruns River bridge) on a few different days last week.

Each time we saw him, he was emerging from the bush surrounding the river, carrying large pieces of junk that we assumed had been left on the banks over the years.

He stacked the rubbish methodically and in very neat piles at both ends of the bridge. My wife and I remarked to each other that he must be some sort of good samaritan who travelled the coast to eliminate the detritus left in the bush by unthoughtful people over the years.

We had never seen him before and haven’t seen him since so we can only assume that he’s moved on to help the next community.

Support The Echo

Keeping the community together and the community voice loud and clear is what The Echo is about. More than ever we need your help to keep this voice alive and thriving in the community.

Like all businesses we are struggling to keep food on the table of all our local and hard working journalists, artists, sales, delivery and drudges who keep the news coming out to you both in the newspaper and online. If you can spare a few dollars a week – or maybe more – we would appreciate all the support you are able to give to keep the voice of independent, local journalism alive.
