The Tweed Heads Community Men’s Shed has elected its first president as it continues to lobby for land and or premises in the area.
Ron Broad was elected to the position and said he would work tirelessly to find a suitable location for blokes to meet, talk, pursue hobbies and interests, learn new skills and pass on old ones.
The next members’ meeting will be held on Thursday 23 August at 1.30pm at the Community Meeting Room, (near Woolworths) Tweed City Shopping Centre at South Tweed Heads.

The Tweed Heads Community Men’s Shed has been operating in a large new shed since November 24, 2014 at 4 Park Street, Tweed Heads, NSW 2485. Noel Moylan is the 2014-2015 President and his phone is: 0401 018 713. The Shed is quite large, fitted with new machinery for Woodwork, Metalwork and Computer/Training equipment. Shed is open Mon – Fri: 9am to 2pm, with morning tea at 10am precisely and lunch is 12noon. Come and enjoy a cuppa, talk, work on your own or another project, invest in some computer training Thursdays: 9am to 12noon.
