Rescue services converged on a rural property in Upper Wilsons Creek on the weekend in response to an emergency call involving a fallen tree.
Due to lack of landing sites, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter winched a doctor and paramedics into a rural property at approximately 5pm on Saturday to aid an elderly resident who was trapped under a tree he had knocked while mowing.
The 70-year-old male was attended to at the scene and stabilised then transported by road ambulance to an oval in Mullumbimby before being transferred to Lismore Base Hospital where he was treated for multiple injuries.
