Julius Fox, who attacked world-champion surfer Stephanie Gilmore at her Tweed Heads unit in 2010, has been sentenced to four years in jail with a three-year non-parole period.
Fox’s lawyer Cameron Bell said his client was ‘psychotic at the time of the incident’ and had not applied for bail over almost two years because he was homeless.
He said that Fox was remorseful for his actions.
