I recently read in the local media about the Tweed Valley Way receiving $2 million from the federal government’s Black Spot funding program. This notoriously bad stretch of road was in desperate need of attention; the number of car accidents and fatalities was appalling.
I would like to personally congratulate the local council for making this road safer, a local priority and our local federal member Justine Elliot for making it a reality. This collaboration shows once again what can be done when different levels of government work together to achieve a desired outcome.
