A 15-year-old boy is believed to have been behind the wheel of a car that crashed into a power pole in Kyogle on Saturday night.

Police received reports of a Ford Fairmont being driven erratically while heading in a southbound direction on the Summerland Way around midnight.

The same car subsequently collided with a power pole before running into a business near the corner of Craig Street.

No-one was present at the scene of the accident when police arrived but a 15-year-old subsequently presented at Kyogle Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
