Uplift… We Are The One… Really? Now I may be a cynical cow when it comes to this sort of sugar-coated, self-important spiritual drivel, but seriously?
‘An invitation for all of us to create a space where the collective Heart Wisdom and Consciousness can reveal a new paradigm.’ Ah, how lovely, except by ‘all’ they mean the spiritually elite who have a spare few hundred dollars (no concessions, so sorry all ye povos!).
Yes, we have the family day which contains some sensible, worthwhile speakers, but $380/$480?
In an impressive lineup of 13 keynote presenters, flown in from all over the world (think of the air miles!), just two are Aboriginal. I am sure they’re all very lovely and fabulously knowledgeable but three and a half hours out of over 90 (not including musicians) presented from the original custodians of our land? It’s embarrassing. Were they not consulted or not impressed? Thankfully, we have the sunrise ceremony which is open to all, as seemingly, our Indigenous friends don’t wish to profit from the betterment of our planet or ‘the birth of a new paradigm of consciousness’.
What a shame.
Couldn’t agree more with your lucidity… well written… well done.
