As more allegations mount each day against players in these grubby corrupt dealings, as a member of the NSW Labor Party (unfinancial I may add) I am having grave concerns that in the end most of these people mentioned will walk free, as either the system will be too overwhelmed to prosecute or their extreme, ill-gotten wealth will see that no charges ever eventuate.
Ex-minister Ian MacDonald, a major person named in the current ICAC investigation, had many dealings with Tweed Shire Council during the lead-up to the ill-fated World Rally Series.
They say a leopard doesn’t change its spots and those of us that were involved with the No Rally push are only too well aware of the calibre of men we were up against during that struggle.
