Tony Parker, Byron Bay
Several years ago I wrote to the member for Richmond, The Hon Justine Elliot, advising her that there is a relatively large pocket of her electorate on the Sunrise estate that cannot be served ADSL via a phone line. We are forced to use a much slower and somewhat unreliable satellite-dish feed.
My letter was acknowledged and I was assured that the matter would be addressed. A subsequent letter had the same result.
We are now advised that Telstra has deployed ADSL2+ equipment which benefits many in the northern rivers area including Sunrise. But not, apparently, the several hundred dwellings to the north of Sunrise Blvd.
Why is this so?
