The award-winning film Tears of Gaza will be screened at a fundraiser for Palestinian children affected by the Israeli occupation next Tuesday, January 22, from 6.30 to 10.30pm at the Byron Bay RSL in Jonson Street.
Byron Friends of Palestine will host the ‘Bridge to Palestine’ fundraising event which will also include a talk on the film and live music.
The multi-award-winning film by Vibeke Vokkeberg looks at the cost of war on a civilian populace.
The event will end with a raffle to raise money for the Olive Kid Foundation Australia, which provides financial support to needy children, particularly orphans, in Palestine.
Local talents Pico, Sergio – Passion Flamenca and Juan Salvador and Friends will perform.

Entry is $20 per person, $10 if unemployed.
