Mr Cahill’s conspiracy theory (‘Drug testing volunteer’, letters, March 27) is stretching credulity to the limit.

As a longtime National Party apparatchik and failed council candidate of yesteryear Stewie should be capable of coming up with something more substantial – albeit contrived.

When he got his glowing report from the I-C-A-C investigation into north coast land deals I bet he had a much better presentation.

As for the code of conduct allegations, these reek of payback and I am an expert on the subject.
