Police have released CCTV images of a man they want to speak to following the robbery of a service station at Tweed Heads South on May 30.

About 3.30am, two men entered the Minjungbal Drive service station armed with knives, threatened a male shop attendant and demanded cash.

The employee, who was not injured during the incident, handed over money and the men left a short time later on foot.

Police from Tweed/Byron Local Area Command commenced inquiries and have now released CCTV images of man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

The depicted man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, with a thin build and short brown hair.

He is shown wearing dark pants and a dark coloured jumper with ‘SPARE 93’ written on the front.

Police say the man is not a suspect but may have been a witness.

Officers believe the man was travelling in a new model blue Holden Commodore sedan.

Anyone with information about this incident should call Tweed Heads Police on (07) 5536-0999 Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or use the Crime Stoppers online reporting page.
