The Bangalow Rugby Union club has grown from a single team in 2002 into a family oriented club of nine teams from under sevens through to First Grade, and will host a Family Day this Saturday to kick off the second round of the 2013 season. The event is the club’s way of saying thank you to the community for the support and continued growth of the club.
The senior teams have an almost exclusive run of home games in the second round – 7 out of 8 games at home – and are looking forward to building on some good results from the first round as well as welcoming some recent recruits into the mix.
The club is welcoming all supporters, family and friends to the day, as well as anyone in the community to share in some fun for the kids and great running rugby.
Both senior matches will be against Ballina, with Second Grade kickoff at 1.50pm and First Grade kickoff at 3.15pm, at the Bangalow Rec. Fields on Saturday June 29.
A free jumping castle, face painting and kids’ sausage sizzle will be provided for the kids and as usual the canteen will be full of goodness from the 100-Mile Table Kitchen.
