To any community member it is quite clear that Cr Carolyn Byrne is not apolitical.

On Saturday at the Greens Party ‘Welcome To Bob Brown’ function, she first tried to gain free entry on the grounds that she was apolitical and that she was a privileged councillor who shouldn’t have to pay like everyone else did.

When I quietly mumbled, to no-one in particular, that she was not apolitical, I was immediately accosted, in her usual manner, and loudly and aggressively attacked, in front of witnesses.

Politics is about decision-making for the community and the voting behaviour of Cr Byrne is in the public eye for everyone to judge.

Quite predictably she votes with Crs Polglase and Youngblutt, working to quash progressive or green directions for Tweed and to promote money-grabbing Gold Coast-like developments.

In my opinion, Cr Byrne is about as apolitical as Abbott. No, No, No and No!
