A man will appear in court next month after he was allegedly found in possession of the drug ice in Tweed Heads.

About 3.20pm yesterday (Tuesday 27 August), officers attached to Tweed/Byron target action group conducting patrols of the Bay Street area stopped a vehicle in a car park, spoke to the driver and subsequently searched the car.

Police allege that during the search they found methylamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

The 46-year-old driver was arrested and taken to Tweed Heads police station where he was charged with supply prohibited drug, possess prohibited drug and drive unregistered and uninsured vehicle.

He was given conditional bail and will appear in Tweed Heads Local Court on Monday 16 September 2013.

Anyone with information about drug supply should call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or use the Crime Stoppers online reporting page: https://www1.police.nsw.gov.au/.
