The Mullumbimby Brunswick Valley Women’s Division 3 football team claimed their first women’s grand final win in the club’s history against undefeated Lennox Head 4–1 at Oakes Oval during the recent Far North Coast Football grand finals series.

Team member Steph Foreman scored three goals and Kim Howden one goal. Steph was woman of the match and was also the 2013 open Women’s Golden Boot recipient with 38 goals for the season.

Credit goes to team coach Jonathan Flanz who coaches five teams voluntarily and has done an incredible job training the women.
