Pottsville Women

September 5:  Social Bowls – Spring in here and it was great to see our bowlers springing about on the greens enjoying their morning activities.  Winners on the day (hwm) were Lucy Johns and George Moore on a count back. Well done girls.  Raffle was won by Judith Tuckey.  Robyn Booth was the champion tinger linger with her brilliant triple effort while Nancy Gleeson came in with a single. Congratulations everyone  By the way, who were the two, or was it three, sweet little lady bowlers, while on their way home, that the RBT gendarmes had a chat with?
*** Diary Notes: September 16 – District Veteran’s Day at Condong B.C., so how about going along to support our veterans.  September 19-20:  Inter District Competition to be conducted at Bowls Club, Cherry Street, Ballina.  Congratulations to Georgine Moore, Marie Comerford, Wendy Fielding, Coral Withers, Merle Jackson, Janice Richards, Doreen Buckley and Aileen Swift who have been selected to play in this prestigious tournament. September 23:  Pottsville Gala Day – 2 games 11 ends.  Cost $20 p.p  $80 p/team includes M/Tea, Green Fees and Lunch. M/tea 8.30 am. Dress  – State approved Uniform. Entries close with Secretary, Doreen Buckley, 19th. September  We look forward to our sisters in bowls joining us for this fun filled event.  September 27: Potty Pairs commence.  This sponsored competition will run over 10 weeks for self selected pairs (men, women, mixed).  $100 prize money each week plus Special Bonus at end of comp.  Play starts 1 pm every Friday.  Entry Sheet on Notice Board at the Club or Phone Coral Withers on 0431 729 623.
Social Bowls are on Thursdays 9 am.  Names to be in by 8.30 am please. Visitors are most welcome.
