A 26-year-old man was arrested near Uki on Friday and charged with drugs and firearms offences.
Police from Tweed/Byron Local Area Command’s Strikeforce Ensign arrested the man after searching his home in Smiths Creek Road, Uki, around 2.15pm.
They allegedly found 46 cannabis plants, a quantity of harvested leaf, 12 shotgun cartridges and a dismantled 12-gauge shotgun.
The man was arrested and taken to Tweed Heads police station charged with cultivate prohibited plant, supply prohibited drug, possess prohibited drug, possess unlicensed firearm and not keep firearm safe.
He was granted conditional bail and will appear at Tweed Heads Local Court on Thursday, 14 October.
