I am organising the first Kingscliff Hill Garage Sale Day to be held on Saturday November 2, between 8am and 1pm.

Similar garage sales have been held successfully elsewhere in Australia and internationally, and they are a wonderful way of bringing neighbourhoods together.

This particular event will be held on a loop of streets including Vulcan, Dinsey, Faulks, and Gibson streets, Gaggin Way and Dawes Ave, plus Julius Place and Quirk Place.

Residents have been advised by flyers in their letterboxes of the upcoming event and invited to take part. Lots of good-quality items such as books, clothes, furniture, toys, sporting gear, music and art will be sold at stalls set up by residents at the front of their homes.

While it’s hoped that many residents will take part in this great event, those not intending to set up stalls are invited to simply stroll through the streets, meeting new friends while finding some great items to buy. It is hoped that those from elsewhere in Kingscliff and the surrounding suburbs will also support this great event.

 Kaylene Henderson, Kingscliff

Support The Echo

Keeping the community together and the community voice loud and clear is what The Echo is about. More than ever we need your help to keep this voice alive and thriving in the community.

Like all businesses we are struggling to keep food on the table of all our local and hard working journalists, artists, sales, delivery and drudges who keep the news coming out to you both in the newspaper and online. If you can spare a few dollars a week – or maybe more – we would appreciate all the support you are able to give to keep the voice of independent, local journalism alive.
