will-watson-Fortune is the debut album from 19-year-old Brisbane roots musician Will Watson.

Sending a call for peace, change, land rights and activism through music, he has sent his spirit across Queensland and New South Wales over the past 12 months.

Since the first single Privilege off Will’s new studio album was released in February 2013 he has gone on to complete his first full studio record with close friend and producer Declan Roche, mastered by Dom McGlinn.

In the first six months of 2013 he has connected his spirituality across the east coast of Australia, playing a sold-out show at Brisbane Arena, becoming a RAW artist, taking part in anti-CSG rallies, being picked up by FBI radio (Syd) and 4ZZ (Bris) and completing his first tour in March to promote the first single of his new album Fortune.

Will’s first Australian headline tour will take him from Queensland’s Sunshine Coast to Melbourne.

Supported by folk duo Georgia Rose and Sally Ann, Will will be joined by Declan Roche on drums and percussion for the tour.

See Will this weekend, Sunday October 13, at the Sphinx Rock Cafe, Mt Burrell from 1pm.

Support The Echo

Keeping the community together and the community voice loud and clear is what The Echo is about. More than ever we need your help to keep this voice alive and thriving in the community.

Like all businesses we are struggling to keep food on the table of all our local and hard working journalists, artists, sales, delivery and drudges who keep the news coming out to you both in the newspaper and online. If you can spare a few dollars a week – or maybe more – we would appreciate all the support you are able to give to keep the voice of independent, local journalism alive.
