Police are appealing for the public’s help to find a missing Pottsville teenager, while a missing Lismore teenager has rung home to say she’s safe.
Fifteen-year-old Riley Steer was seen by her parents at her home on Campbell Avenue at Wollongbar around 5pm on Saturday.
They reported her missing when they returned home about 7pm.
Ballina police said said the 15-year-old girl sent a text message to her family last night to let them know she was with friends and safe.
Meanwhile, sixteen-year-old Alex van Honk, is still missing after he was last seen at his Andrew Avenue home in Pottsville on Saturday morning.
Alex, described by police as an intellectually-delayed teenager, rode from the home on his BMX and has not been seen or heard from since.
Tweed police have searched the area for the boy with no success.
They hold serious concerns for his welfare and say his behaviour is out of character.
He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 187cm tall, thin build, blue eyes, short blonde-brown hair and is possibly wearing dark track pants and a jumper.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts is urged to contact Triple Zero immediately.
