The proposed upgrade of the popular Banner Park opposite the pub in Brunswick Heads includes a large boardwalk on the foreshore, pathways, new playground and seating.

Managers of Crown Holiday Parks will be on hand at Brunswick Heads on Wednesday 15 January to discuss much-anticipated plans for the upgrade of the town’s three public caravan parks and four public foreshore parks.

The public information sessions on the draft plans of management for the parks and reserves in Brunswick Heads, conducted by NSW Crown Holiday Parks staff, will be held in Banner Reserve from 4pm till 7pm, coinciding with the opening of the Brunswick Valley Woodchop Carnival, and on Saturday, 1 February, in Memorial Park from 9am till 12 noon as part of the local market.

NSW Crown Holiday Parks Trust chairman Alan Revell said the information sessions ‘provide the opportunity for local residents, business owners and visitors to be informed and to ask questions about the plans for the upgrade of their local holiday parks and recreation areas’.

Mr Revell said the trust was ‘committed to ensuring that local communities and visitors and, importantly, users are both well informed and able to comment on the draft plans for the holiday parks and public recreation reserves in their area’.

The draft plans covering the future care and management of the holiday parks for the Terrace Reserve, Massey Greene and Ferry Reserve holiday parks are on public exhibition until 21 February, along with draft plans for Banner and Terrace parks, Torakina Reserve and Simpsons Creek Reserve.

The plans are now available on the Crown Lands ‘Have Your Say’ webpage or on the North Coast Holiday Parks webpage. A document with frequently asked questions is also included on the North Coast Holiday Parks webpage.

Submissions can be sent to: NSW Crown Holiday Parks Trust, PO Box 647, Ballina, NSW 2478 or by email to: [email protected].
