New-Birghton-Boardriders-

Newy Crew Boardriders had their monthly competition on Sunday at New Brighton Beach. There was a fantastic turnout again for this renewed local surf event.

The club would like to encourage more families and friends to come down and join in this year’s comp because it’s not too late.

Everyone did extremely well on the weekend and the conditions were light westerly winds with clean waves and fun 2–3-foot barrelling.

Perfect for experienced and new surfers.

It was a great day for families to get together and enjoy the ocean.

The event results were:

U12 boys – Seb, Fin, Finely, Sonny, Kai; Junior boys – Oliver, Bawoo, Peyote, Jasper; U12 girls – Zoe, Sienna; Junior girls Tandia, Poppy, Kaia, Kala; Open Men – Dan, Jeremy, Brett, Jayden; Masters – Corey, Fozz, Bryce, Macca.

Everyone is invited to come on down to the next comp on April 20 at the Newy Shop.
