A 20-year-old Gold Coast man who allegedly filmed a seven-year-old boy under a toilet cubicle door at Banora Point in the Tweed will face court later this month.
On Saturday, the boy told police someone had tried to film him while he was using a public toilet at a Banora Point recreation facility.
Detectives from Tweed Byron Local Area Command began an investigation that included the execution of a search warrant at a Gold Coast address.
There, officers seized a tablet computer, which will be forensically examined.
Yesterday (Wednesday) the 20-year-old Elanora man attended Tweed Heads Police Station.
He was arrested and charged with filming a person’s private parts in circumstances of aggravation.
The 20-year-old was granted strict conditional bail and will appear in Tweed Heads Local Court on 19 May.
