At the Court House in Mullumbimby open mic…this month features Mandy Nolan as the regular MC.

Nolan always has something to say that is sure to fire up the crowd.

Last time she was there she got involved in a lively banter with a rather cranky vegan.

‘It always amazes me that of all the people I offend the most it’s always the vegans.

‘I’m just having a bit of fun but it seems that I always stir up that one per cent of vegans who don’t seem to understand satire.

‘I really couldn’t care less what anyone’s food choice is; what interests me more is how people get so passionate about it, or how it can be a way to define yourself.

‘I mean, if you don’t want to attract attention for your food choices then don’t wear a t-shirt with 400-point font saying VEGAN.

‘I don’t wear a shirt saying FAT Meat-Eating Tart… although I probably don’t need to, I think people can tell!’

Nolan is joined by her funny friends at the Court House on Thursday8pm. Free.
