A horror spate of accidents is keeping the region’s emergency services busy.
A Lismore woman and her 11-year-old girl were killed and several others injured following a smash involving a truck and a car near Kempsey on Friday morning.
Nicole Taylor and her 12-year-old daughter Darcie Storer died when their Hyundai sedan collided with the northbound furniture truck about 5.15am.
The truck driver was also seriously injured and two others received minor injuries.
The accident happened at 5.15am near Kundabung, about 25 kilometres south of Kempsey.
Then overnight at Ocean Shores at 8.15pm, three people were injured in a head-on collision between a ute and a Hyundai sedan.
Police said the 59-year-old male driver of the ute suffered a fractured sternum and his 50-year-old female passenger received minor injuries.
The 22-year-old male driver of the Hyundai also suffered internal injuries. All three were taken to Tweed hospital.
The North Coast Crash Investigation Unit examined the accident scene, which closed the Brunswick Valley Way for two hours.
Meanwhile, police and emergency workers were called to the Bruxner Highway between Lismore and Casino on Saturday morning following a serious crash involving a cyclist.
The crash happened near the intersection of Northcott Rd and the Bruxner Highway at South Gundurimba about 6.30am.
